Clinical Supervision
Drawing upon my 25 years' clinical experience (1997 - 2022) in my previous profession as an HCPC-registered Music Therapist, I continue to offer clinical supervison to Music Therapy colleagues. From 2012 to 2022 I was a BAMT-registered (British Association for Music Therapy) Supervisor and also had a varied Supervisor role within the charity, Music as Therapy International.
Today I am an approved Clinical Supervisor for the UK training in Music Imagery Psychotherapy (https://musicimagerhub.org/)
I offer supervision on the following: working with adults and children with developmental disabilities, emotional wellbeing and mental health issues, setting up an independent private practice, workplace issues and dynamics, professional identity, self-care etc.
As a Clinical Supervisor, I offer a warm, non-judgemental, collaborative professional space for you to bring whatever issue you need to explore. In supporting you, I am generally guided by Hawkins’ and Shohet’s Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision (2012), which encompasses broad and specific frameworks - for example from techniques/interventions, to wider workplace and professional identity. I keep clear boundaries between personal issues evoked by work and personal therapy. I also ask you to agree to a standard short contract and all of this is discussed in our first session.
I offer both face to face supervision from my home in Steyning and online via zoom. Sessions last an hour and cost £65 for individuals and £75 for organisations.
